SELECTED WORKS
About

A series of fairytale like spots for the California Milk Board. It was a real challenge to create the multiple CG characters and environmental effects with a relatively small team and short time frame. As a lighting TD I helped create a sophisticated look that could be easily manipulated in post; custom ambient vs. key FG passes were created to manipulate the color temperature as needed.

Role

Medusa
Look and lighting development/Lighting TD. Shader optimization and setup. Pass and Lighting setup. Compositing for final shot/hair transition.

Sad Princess
Realflow sims for splashes on balcony, secondary ocean splashes, and Milk. Lighting for underwater shot.

About

A spot for T.Rowe and Price highlighting the interelated nature of global investments.
This project was all about maintaining a very subtle and painterly feel while following darker more graphic lines that draw on and lead us through the spot. A classic Psyop dose of 2D aesthetic in 3D space.

Role

Project Lead.
Lighting TD for Ink/Toon Style.

About

Based upon Absolut's print campaign, this spot features a bottle disassembling to reveal its pure liquid core. The focus was on creating graphically abstract moments that build to the liquid reveal before the bottle reassembles itself.
This spot was selected for the SIGGRAPH 2009 Animation Theatre.

Role

Project Lead.

About

Commercial for Fernet Branca highlighting its unique 27 herbs and spices, and smooth rich color.
A huge leap of faith for our production team - this was our first attempt at using XSI's ICE particles. Additional we used a 3rd party mesher and multiple inhouse plugins. An all around crazy one, but one of my favorites.

Role

Project Co-Lead with Ted Kotsaftis.
Lighting TD. Liquid/Fluid look and lighting development. Liquid simulations(ICE).
